Panther OBD does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your privacy is not a feature — it is the foundation of how this app is built.

Overview

Panther OBD ("the App") is a vehicle diagnostics application for iPhone and iPad developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

The short version: we collect nothing. There are no servers, no accounts, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs that report back to anyone.

Data We Do Not Collect

Panther OBD does not collect, access, store, sell, or share any of the following:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Vehicle data, VIN numbers, or OBD diagnostic results
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Crash reports or diagnostic logs
  • Payment information

No Account Required

Panther OBD does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with any third-party service. The App works entirely without any form of user registration.

On-Device Processing

All vehicle data read from your OBD-II adapter is processed entirely on your device. This data is never transmitted to any external server, including any server operated by the developer.

iCloud Sync

Panther OBD uses Apple's iCloud to sync your vehicles, settings, and preferences across your Apple devices. This sync happens through Apple's infrastructure and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to any data stored in your iCloud account.

iCloud sync can be disabled at any time in your device's iCloud settings.

In-App Purchases

Panther Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive or store any payment information. All billing is governed by Apple's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Panther OBD does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. The App does not make any network requests other than those required to connect to your OBD-II device via Bluetooth.

Children's Privacy

Panther OBD does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected from any user, this applies to all users regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
